Our very own, Delores Crum, CERP, was invited to speak on the panel at the International Special Event Society’s March meeting held at The Driskill. Delores, along with many other talented panelists, were asked to talk about how to make an event more luxurious. It was a pleasure working alongside Pearl Events Austin, Caplan Miller, David Kurio Designs, Meritage Events, PSAV, Townsley Designs, The Cake Plate, Uptown Valet and The Inviting Pear to make this meeting a success! Check out some photos taken by the talented Angela King Photography from the meeting below!

Who knew I’d spend a day with Ken Sharples searching through downtown and East Austin for the perfect warehouse!? Well I did, and I’m happy to report the time we spent was well worth it. We now have these beautiful photos for you to enjoy! These were taken by Jerry Hayes for Austin Wedding Style Magazine. Floral by Fabian of F2 Floral Design. Cheers!
I can’t think of a better way to wrap up Premiere Select’s 2015 than by sharing this beautiful December wedding with you! The outdoor ceremony and tented reception took place at the gorgeous Escondido Golf and Lake Club. Rentals were provided by Premiere Select to compliment the vibrant purple and pink blooms by The Flower Studio. Lighting was handled by ILIOS Lighting and the 6′ chandeliers were provided by Intelligent Lighting Design. The Cake Plate worked their magic as usual, and DFW Events coordinated the celebration. A huge thank you to Jerry Hayes and his amazing pre-event photography skills. I hope these photos brighten this winter day for you as much as they brightened mine!
We’ll see you next year!
Premiere reached a milestone last week – our 15th anniversary! To celebrate, a wine and roses themed design competition was held at the Omni Barton Creek. When half of your event theme pertains to floral, you better bring it when it comes to decor. Thanks to Hilverda De Boer our Ken Sharples, Beth O’Reilly AIFD, TMF, and team did not disappoint! All of the flowers used in Premiere’s decor were donated by Hilverda De Boer, the Netherlands’ largest exporters of cut flowers, including the 1,500 red roses suspended from the ceiling! Enjoy this sneak peek thanks to Lisa Hause of Waterloo Studio.
Boy do we love Brazos Hall – so many layout options! For this gorgeous wedding, both the ceremony and reception took place in the downstairs space. Our job was to help create a space within a space for the ceremony that could be flipped during the cocktail hour. We did that through custom draping! Following the ceremony, the draping was removed and reception tables slid into place while guests cocktailed upstairs. Take a look at these beautiful transformation photos by Sam Hugh Photography!

The rainy weather we’ve been blessed with this May has us reminiscing to earlier Spring days and the central Texas bluebonnet season while questioning the age-old saying “April showers bring May flowers”. We’d like to thank the Vineyards at Chappel Lodge for letting us use their bluebonnet filled fields, F2 Floral Design for the gorgeous centerpiece, and Jerry Hayes for delivering beautiful photos as always. Enjoy!
Last month Premiere Select worked alongside a great team of vendors on a party thrown for former UT Longhorn Cory Redding. The celebration for the pro football player’s career took place at one of our favorite downtown venues, Brazos Hall – our lucite tables look amazing in the industrial setting! Check out the images below by Jerry Hayes of the sleek, modern decor.
The 2014 Austin Children’s Services Gala took place on Saturday, October 25th in the Hyatt Regency’s new Zilker Ballroom. The theme chosen for the organization’s largest annual fundraiser was “The Flying Wunderkinds & the Amazing Feats of Giving” inspired by the German word “Wunderkind” meaning someone who achieves success or shows great talent at a young age, and by the whimsical nostalgia one feels when reminiscing trips to the circus as a child. Premiere Select was chosen for event design, decor, and rentals.
A 1940s circus theme was reflected in the décor. The ballroom foyer was lined with vintage circus posters. White and red striped linens covered the cocktail tables. Cracker Jacks and cotton candy served as the cocktail tables’ centerpieces. Guests were welcomed by greeters in red top hats. Festoon lights were strung in the foyer where guests partook in the silent auction and carnival games.
The doors to the ballroom were draped with canvas fabric to make guests feel as if they were entering a tent when entering the ballroom. Inside the ballroom, the décor theme transitioned into “backstage at the circus”. Fabric hung from the ceiling to create a tent canopy look. Purple uplighting surrounded the perimeter of the ballroom. The dining tables were draped with burgundy velvet linens adorned with one of two centerpiece styles. One style featured a top hat surrounded by roses. The second style was the upright frame of a mirror surrounded by roses to make the guests feel like they themselves were preparing to perform. Sandbags hung from the stage backdrop to complete the “backstage” look. There were round stages throughout the ballroom so the speakers and live auctioneers appeared as ringmasters. Austin Oddities preformed throughout the evening, and Dysfunkshun Junkshun brought the house down.
The décor objective was not only to develop a plan and provide the rental items needed to carry the fundraiser’s theme to fruition, but to also create a fun and relaxing atmosphere for the 680 guests in attendance, which in turn would increase revenue raised for the organization. Funds were raised and guests were treated to a magical evening, and we can’t wait until the next one!
